Submission of symposia October 31, 2017
Submission of individual talks and posters November 30, 2017
Latest registration for accepted presenters January 26, 2018

Early submissions are strongly encouraged. The TeaP organizers reserve the right to decline acceptance if the number of submissions exceeds the capacity.

At least one of the authors of a submitted abstract is required to register for the conference on or before January 26, 2018. Missing this deadline will lead to a cancellation of the submission.

Submission procedure

Before submitting, please carefully read through the guidelines for the submission of individual talks, symposia, or poster presentations contained on this page.

If you do not have a login with this website yet, create one by clicking on the ACCOUNT link at the top of this page. Once you are logged in, click on [New Submission] to post your abstract.

Only one submission will be considered for each first author. Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their abstracts before January 19, 2018.

Language of presentations

The official conference language is English, but submissions in German are also welcome. Symposia and thematic sessions will be held in the same language (either English, or German). To avoid possible confusion, the actual language of oral presentations and posters must conform to the language of the abstract that was accepted for presentation.

Abstract requirements for individual talks and posters

To be considered, abstracts for individual talks and posters should contain sufficient information about (1) the research aim or question, (2) the methods being used, and (3) the results of the study.

Please note that only one contribution per first author is allowed. Please also note that contributions that do not use experimental methods cannot be considered.

Submission formats

(1) Individual talks

Individual talks will be organized in thematic sessions of 5-6 presentations. Each talk will be scheduled for 12 minutes followed by 3 minutes of discussion. Please submit your abstract (max. 200 words) for an individual presentation by November 30, 2017.

(2) Proposals for symposia

The conference organizers invite the submission of proposals for symposia. Each symposium should consist of 5-6 talks addressing a related topic of research. (The last slot in the symposium can be used for a longer discussion.)

Symposia should be held in a consistent language (either English, or German). If a symposium is not accepted, reviewers will consider the individual contributions for the regular conference program.

If you are interested in hosting a symposium, please submit an extended abstract (max. 500 words) which describes the general topic of the suggested symposium. To complete your submission, add a supplementary file (formatted as *.pdf, *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf, or *.txt), which includes a list of all speakers, their affiliations, contact e-mail addresses, and the abstracts of the individual contributions (each max. 200 words, considering the above-stated requirements for talks).

Proposals for symposia are due October 31, 2017. Symposium organizers will be informed about the outcome of the reviewing process until November 17, 2017. All speakers of accepted symposia are kindly asked to register and submit their abstract (indicating the corresponding symposium) until November 30, 2017.

(3) Posters

Please submit your abstracts for poster presentations (max. 200 words) by November 30, 2017. When designing your poster, please bear in mind that your poster should be in DIN A0 portrait format (84.1 x 118.9 cm).
