Founded by Duke Rudolph IV in 1365, the University of Vienna is one of the largest universities of Central Europe.

Approximately 91,000 students study in one of the University's 56 Bachelor, 117 Master, 4 Diploma, and 11 PhD Programmes.

As the largest Austrian teaching and research institution, the objectives of the University of Vienna are to maintain a wide range of academic disciplines, to promote new and innovative fields of research, and to establish scientific networks. 

Main Building 

The 2013 TeaP conference will be held in the historic main building of the University of Vienna. The building is located on the Universitätsring close to the town hall, the Austrian parliament, and the national theatre. The building was constructed by the architect Heinrich von Ferstel whose intention was to create a new type of building that reflected the importance of Vienna and academia.
